If you can bring an AED, please bring it. Otherwise, go call a code. Checking for normal breathing and checking for a pulse. There's a pulse present but there's no breathing. Breath does not go in. Breath does not go in. Thirty compressions. One and two and three. Five and six and seven and eight. Nine and ten, eleven and twelve. Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty. I look in the mouth. I don't see anything. Reposition. Breath still doesn't go in. One and two and three and four and five and six and seven and eight. Nine and ten. Twelve and thirteen and fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty. Give a breath. I saw something. I pull it out. Breath goes in. Breath goes in. I check for a pulse. Pulse is still present but no breathing. I'll give rescue breaths, one breath every five seconds, for a total of two minutes. Reassess. If no breathing, no pulse, begin CPR. Wait for EMS to arrive, an AED, or until my patient revives.
